Does Taking Adrenal Fatigue Supplements Really Help?

Adrenal fatigue is not a new thing. An estimated 80% of people have experienced it at one point or another in their lives. Many of those people have discovered adrenal fatigue supplements as a way to help recover from the debilitating syndrome.

Although supplements have been shown to aid in recovery from adrenal fatigue, many take them without first consulting with their doctor. Although doctors are notorious for overlooking the symptoms of adrenal fatigue and dismissing them as unimportant, it is still a good idea to visit your doctor just in case something else if wrong.

When considering adrenal supplements keep in mind that adrenal fatigue is more often than not caused by neglecting health and stress recover. Often it is due primarily to poor lifestyle and a diet filled with sugar, fats, caffeine, and other stimulants. This is further complicated in that most of us don't receive enough nutrients or vitamins. This explains why our adrenal glands give out, and we begin feeling extreme tiredness no matter what we do.

Other symptoms that manifest in severe cases of adrenal fatigue are depression, low blood sugar, anxiety, low blood pressure, increased PMS, mental fog, and inability to recover quickly from simple respiratory illnesses like the cough or the flu.

If it has been confirmed that you indeed have adrenal fatigue, a change in lifestyle should be in order. You may need anywhere from a few months to even a number of years to completely adjust to new and less stressful habits and routines.

Supplements help and are absolutely necessary for a complete treatment of the syndrome, however by themselves are typically not enough. Because our diets rarely contain all the required nutrients for a rich and healthy diet, we need to take supplements to make up the difference. Specifically with adrenal fatigue, there are specific nutrients and vitamins that are absolutely essential to full recovery.

While taking supplements, alter your diet as well. Make sure to get enough vitamin c, protein, and complex carbs. Also stay away from foods rich in sugar, alcohol, and caffeine. Mostly however, eat foods closer to its original form and get plenty of fresh vegetables of different colors. - 29964
